Typically, to put on a belt buckle on a rough belt, you would first need to make a small leather loop to insert the belt end through it. Measure the belt end, usually around 6.5 inches, and make a vertical hole on the belt end to insert the buckle's prong, attaching your buckle to the belt. Then, fold the end back to create a loop and attach it with metal pins to secure your buckle. Tighten the belt around your waist, position, and secure the buckle, then check for comfort and fit.
