Mission Statement: The Texas Paint Horse Club shall promote interest in the American Paint horse by encouraging breeding for conformation, ability and color; by promoting interest in the paint horse as a breed; by sponsoring and/or encouraging paint horse classes in all horse shows, pleasure and trail riding, racing and all other activities of the same nature; by encouraging good horsemanship, good sportsmanship and by educating the public about the qualities of the paint horse and the American Paint Horse Association.

The History of Texas Paint Club

Since its founding in July of 1974, our club has been dedicated to promoting the Paint Horse industry through education, competition, and collaboration. Over the years, we have remained steadfast in our mission, creating an environment where members can expand their knowledge and appreciation for the breed. Through hosting horse shows and engaging learning opportunities, we ensure that our members not only compete but also gain invaluable insights into the world of Paint Horses.

We prioritize teamwork and collaboration. This year marks a significant milestone as we partner with other Paint Horse clubs across Texas. This initiative fosters unity within the association, ensuring its longevity and success for generations to come. By working together, we create a network of support and respect that strengthens our shared passion for Paint Horses.

Our club takes pride in organizing and hosting major events throughout the year. Among our most notable contributions is the Paint Horse Show at the Fort Worth Stock Show. Additionally, we hold an April show and another event at the end of May in Waco. With a total of four shows annually, members have the opportunity to compete for year-end awards, with eligibility requiring participation in at least three events and ranking high point in their class. This structure encourages consistent involvement and commitment to sport.

One of our proudest achievements this year is the Lone Star Saddle Series. This collaborative effort among multiple clubs aligns with our mission of expanding awareness and participation in the Paint Horse community. By sharing knowledge and resources, we introduce more people to the breed and demonstrate the wide range of activities available to Paint Horse enthusiasts.

Hosting and participating in shows come with financial challenges. Our goal is to keep show costs affordable while still providing high-quality awards. Striking a balance between affordability and excellence is an ongoing effort, but we continuously seek innovative ways to make our events cost-efficient without compromising on experience and recognition for our members.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to expanding our offerings. We plan to introduce jackpot classes with matching funds, integrate them with other horse industry events, and offer NSBA classes in Weatherford. Our objective is to enhance the competition experience, making it more rewarding and engaging for our members.

Our club thrives on the passion and dedication of its members. As we continue to grow and innovate, we remain steadfast in our mission to promote the Paint Horse industry, foster education, and create a supportive community for all who share our love for these remarkable horses. Whether you are a seasoned rider or new to the world of Paint Horses, there is always a place for you in our club.
