Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Twisted X® has firmly established itself as a leader in the footwear industry by combining Western heritage with modern innovation. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Decatur, Texas, the company has spent the last two decades crafting high-quality, comfortable, and eco-conscious footwear for men, women, and children across work, outdoor, lifestyle, and Western categories.Driven by a mission to deliver comfort and performance while minimizing environmental impact, Twisted X stands out through its bold approach to business. Unlike many of its competitors, the company chooses not to sell directly to consumers, instead building strong relationships with retail partners. This unique model fosters true partnership and eliminates internal competition within the marketplace.

Sustainability remains a core pillar of the brand’s identity. Twisted X integrates upcycled and eco-friendly materials into its designs, including the Blend85™ footbed made from recycled foam, ecoTWEED™ lining created from plastic bottles, and LeatherTWX™, which uses repurposed leather scraps. These innovations reflect a clear commitment to reducing environmental waste while maintaining high product quality.Technological advancement is also key to Twisted X’s success. This year’s 20th anniversary is a milestone Twisted X is proud to celebrate, marking two decades of progress, resilience, and community involvement. Over the past year, the company hosted an Earth Month clean-up initiative, mobilizing both employees and retailer partners to help beautify local areas. Twisted X also continues to support numerous nonprofit organizations including 4-H, Cook Children’s, VFW, One Tribe Foundation, and others, aiming to donate at least 10% of profits to philanthropic causes.Even amid global challenges such as the pandemic and supply chain disruptions, Twisted X stayed committed to its values—retaining its workforce, increasing wages, and ensuring ample product supply to its retailers. These bold moves reflected the company’s long-term vision and dedication to doing the right thing.
