Mission Statement: Formed in 2007, Tri-County Riders is dedicated to  fostering a family-oriented riding community that serves the Tri-County area of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties while welcoming riders from across the Bay Area and Central Valley. Our mission is to provide all riders, regardless of age or ability, with the opportunity to compete under fair and consistent rules. We are committed to promoting strong horsemanship, encouraging sportsmanship, and inspiring the next generation of riders through inclusive and supportive competition.

The History Tri-County Riders 

This past year has been a big one for the club. They hosted 11 shows, awarding placements down to 5th place at every show. Their popular Spring Fever show featured daily awards and high-point prizes including Molly’s Custom Silver buckles. The annual October Spooktacular drew over 60 riders decked out in costumes each day. The Tri-County Riders just finished their 18th Annual Firecraker Frenzy show, which is their largest show of the year. This show was a standout success this year, with 93 riders camping and competing over the July 4th weekend, the 3-day event featured 13 individual competitions, 3 team events, and a match race, along with two Molly’s Custom Silver saddles raffled to lucky riders. Over $25,000 in awards were handed out, with prizes reaching down to 11th place in all 6 divisions. 

Mother Nature has thrown her fair share of challenges their way. A show season was planned for 14 shows and was shortened to 9 due to weather. Thanks to generous sponsors and supportive vendors, Tri-County Riders continued to provide high-quality awards to monthly and premium shows. Ensuring their riders truly feel seen for all of their extraordinary work. 

Looking ahead, the club is excited about their new STAR Award Program. Through this program, riders can work toward personal goals and earn exclusive prizes like personalized jackets or a custom Molly’s buckle by completing a set number of rides during the season. The year concludes with a formal awards dinner to celebrate the achievements of all members. This is everyone’s favorite tradition that brings the community together and honors the hard work of every rider. 

At Tri-County Riders, the focus is clear; build a club that feels like family, offer every rider a fair shot, and celebrate the journey as much as the wins. Molly’s Custom Silver is proud to support an organization that embodies such dedication, tradition and love for the sport.
