Slow. Flawed artwork.

My most recent experience with Molly’s was very frustrating. A couple of years ago I worked with Molly’s to build a beautiful buckle as a wedding gift for my husband and it was an excellent experience. To celebrate my husbands first Father’s Day I wanted to get a matching necklace. I provided the buckle design and order number so everything would match. The rendering didn’t match but they made the changes after I pointed it out. When I paid the team member didn’t have any concerns about timeline or share that a typical order took 45-60 days. This was at the beginning of June. Despite me calling for updates, Fathers Day came and went and the team member said sometimes orders get “stuck” in different departments so she’d put a rush on it but to keep calling so it would progress. I asked if it would be ready by his birthday on July 1st and she thought it would be doable. At the end of July I called and left a voicemail during work hours asking for an update and explaining my frustration. It was put in the mail that day and I received it on July 30th. When I received the necklace I was further disappointed because our brand, the focal point, seemed to have the finish rubbed off with abrasions if you look closely and, in the smaller sections of the brand, was dark stimpling instead of matching the floral background on the rest of the pendant. It stands out and not in a good way. After promising a surprise to my husband for two months it was a let down to say the least. What’s even more disappointing is that I approved the size but my husband and I agree that it’s too big. I would love to order a smaller piece but after the experience to get the current one, I’m just not sure it would be worth the expense and hassle. Since ordering the buckle I’ve been a huge fan of Molly’s and this has just been a really disappointing experience. Maybe I’ll try again once a little time has passed but for now Molly’s isn’t something I’d recommend to a friend.

The custom buckle I ordered was for my daughter’s graduation present. She loved it. It looks amazing.

My Army belt buckle is better than I expected.

Although it took some time for the order to be completed and arrive the quality is outstanding so it was definitely worth the wait. I would recommend ordering way ahead of the date you want it to arrive. I got her custom buckle as a graduation gift for my daughter and she wears it everywhere!!
